The 3 Little
Pigs
(Twisted Tuba Tales #1)
Performed
at 2000 ITEC in Regina by Fritz Kaenzig and
the University of Michigan Euphonium-Tuba
Ensemble. A modern and tuba-euphoniumistically-slanted
retelling of this classic fable starring
Euphie, Bari, Used-to-be-A (whose middle name
was Cornet...), and the villain of all
villains, DesiRay. Not terribly difficult,
this piece is being used by many university
groups and makes a great programmer that
audiences love.
Instrumentation:
4 euphs, 4 tubas, narrator.

Toccata and Fugue in D
Minor
Recently completed at
the invitation of the new quartet
"Junction," it will be premiered by
them at the 2001 ITEC in Finland. Written to
highlight the facility of individuals as well
as the group as a whole, this piece would make
an ideal contest piece.
Instrumentation: 2
euphs, 2 tubas.
