Biography
Bujanovsky was the principal horn in the
Leningrad Philharmonic, a winner of the
International Reicha Competition (Prague, 1953), a
Gold Medal Winner of the International Competition
(Vienna, 1959), an acclaimed teacher, and an
accomplished orchestrator and composer.
Bujanovsky appeared widely as a soloist and
chamber player. In 1970, he played ALL four Mozart
Horn concerti, the Concert Rondo and the E major
fragment - in one concert.
Not only did he train an entire generation of
Russian hornists, but students and devotees from
around the world came to study with him.
